As an award-winning high school researcher, I take pride in conducting every stage of my research independently—from concept to publication. In a time when outsourcing research to paid professionals has become increasingly common, I chose a different path. Through orginality, I earned recognition as one of South Korea and the world’s top high school researchers. This experience not only shaped my research philosophy but also fuels my commitment to mentoring students who are ready to explore the frontiers of knowledge with integrity and curiosity.
As an admitted international student to Northwestern University (Top 6 overall, Top 2 in Materials Science & Engineering), I built my college application on originality and authenticity—starting with my own award-winning research. Despite a “B” in junior year, I earned offers from Northwestern, UCLA, USC, Georgia Tech, and more by crafting a genuine narrative that reflected who I am. With a 1560 SAT (800 Math) and multiple AP 5s in Calc BC, Chem, Psych, and Research, I also understand how to present academic strength. Now, I mentor students to tell their real stories and build applications with integrity—not perfection.
